The Reclamation of Timothy Cratchit

A crowd-funded comic revisiting a classic work of literature with a break-neck pace! My goal: to produce an entire comic throughout December, releasing one comic page a day.

In December 2018 I created a bit of a crazy challenge for myself. I really love Charles Dickens' famous novella, A Christmas Carol - who doesn't? Even if you're not someone like me who obsessively reads it every year, you've almost certainly absorbed the fabric of its narrative via cultural osmosis, aided by a flood of adaptations in every medium imaginable.

Never sequels, though.

Sequels are contentious things, of course, often rather naff echoes of their original source material. Also: I'm not Dickens. In any way, shape or form. The idea of creating a sequel to a Christmas Carol wormed its way into my head, all the same, and I started to work out the ingredients I thought one should have.

The result was The Reclamation of Timothy Cratchit is a 32 page long short story comic which uses some elements Dicken's lesser known Christmas story The Haunted Man and the Ghost's Bargain while revisiting the lives of some of the beloved characters from A Christmas Carol.
